“Caribou is the only food I’ve ever eaten I can maintain my strength on. I eat it pretty much rare – extremely rare – with lots of lard so it’s real fatty. I’m not really much of a meat eater back in the real world, but I prefer caribou here.” – Will Steger, April 09, 2018

Despite the frigid temperatures, with all the travel on lakes, any worries about ice conditions? If there were springs under water, or thin ice? I’m guessing rivers are froze over. Do you think any of the rivers will be navigable with these temps?

Will, great stuff. The aerial photos of your route show areas that look like dunes or areas void of any vegetation. Could you describe them when you encounter these areas which are mostly north of your current position. Thanks.
